No Smoke and Mirrors
Hypnotherapy and neuro-linguistic programming (NLP) can be a bit confusing, so we want to be as transparent as possible.
Through these systems, our Clinical Hypnotherapist talks to the unconscious mind, and deconstructs the individual reasons a person is drawn to cigarettes. We then change the way the unconscious mind actually thinks and feels about cigarettes. With a new mind-set, withdrawal symptoms rarely even come into play — so shakes, headaches, irritability, or any other withdrawal side-effects, are highly unlikely.
This system is pro-active in removing the common reasons people fail, before failure even has a chance to happen. For example, there’s no need to be concerned about weight-gain after quitting. We remove cravings entirely, so you won’t eat more and gain weight.
What to Expect at Your Session
Beforehand
Because your circumstances are unique, we tailor the program to you and address your specific needs.
Once you book a session, we’ll get you to fill out some paper work. This will help us customise your program through intentional planning, and give us a bit of background information about you and your circumstances before we begin.
During
Phase One
We’ll start the session by discussing and determining exactly what your needs are. We’ll talk about things like why you started smoking in the first place, how often you smoke, what methods of quitting you’ve used so far (if any), and your motivation for kicking the habit for good.
We’ll also unpack hypnosis — what it is, and what it feels like. You can ask as many questions as you like, and we won’t start the next phase of the session until you feel comfortable.
Phase Two
Once you’re comfortable, we’ll move on to the actual hypnotising. It’s a safe, relaxing, and enjoyable experience! You’re fully aware and in control at every moment, in fact, you can terminate the session at any time. And don’t worry, you won’t ‘get stuck in a trance’, and you can’t be made to do something against your will.
Phase Three
The session is wrapped up with some practical steps you can take to set yourself up for long-term success. And don’t forget, if you do relapse for any reason, call Manie for a follow-up session (or as many as you need) FREE of charge. It’s all included in your service!
